Was She Trying to Kill a Bug?
It would be the most logical thing to assume here. Considering she was already at the porch and already within reach of a possible safe transition from hand to tile, killing a bug may have been this USPS postal worker’s reasoning behind potentially damaging the contents of this package by tossing it.
It wouldn’t be fair to assume that this woman was careless or that she was lazy on the job.
These types of assumptions are best left to those who are “quick to judge” or those who find the act of throwing packages to be a negative thing when it comes to normal postal delivery.
So I’m sticking to the story of “squashed bug”.
